Melvira - I think we both "facilitated" different threads, with similar focuses. I remember yours... TOTM...any medium... cakes, cookies, whatever. The one that I administered (in the cookie forum) was the monthly cookie club - decorated cookies only. It was going on for about 2 years, I think, starting in 2007 (thanks to Cake Princess) and fizzled out about a year ago. I think someone else may have started something similar for a few months a while after that, which then fizzled out also.
So, we are both willing and happy to get it up and going again, which is great! It sure was a lot of fun to see people's creations! I think the question now is which do people want - all mediums or cookie only? or both?
OK, then let's get it going again!
For the first month, lets see if we can come up with a theme... from then on, the first person who posts a picture for the month gets to choose the theme for the next month (I'll still start the threads each month, the theme "chooser" will just rotate).
What are your ideas for an April theme?
Melvira, I think maybe you missed this post when you logged on. Bonniebakes had already offered to start it up again before you did.
Oh, ok, I was the creator of the original TOTM so was just offering to start that one up again, but someone can sure start a new one. It's definitely fun if you can get people going on it!
I'd like to see cookies only..... I've been wanting to try my hand at this and maybe this will get me going on them! I've seen such great cookies on here: it would be great to see a thread dealing with a theme every month! Thank you for trying to revive this idea! 
I recall the Cookie Club BonnieBakes. The reason we started the TOTM was so that people who weren't necessarily good at cookies, or just didn't like doing them could do something else that fit the theme (cake, candy, etc.) If people just want to do cookies that's fine. I just wanted to clarify.
I'm for the cookies only on this one...
Maybe someone would like to start one for each medium

it sounds like there's enough support for reviving the cookie of the month club... so here are the suggestions for the April theme (sorry if I inadvertently left anyone's idea out):
* no theme
* crosses
* Spring
* Earth Day
* birds/frogs
if we can come to consensus on a theme soon, I'll et the thread up and running (with the "guidelines") by the end of the week.
How does that sound?
i hope the cookie club keeps going this time. it always seems to do good for a month or two and then fizzles. it was a lot of fun!

I like the spring theme, it includes all of the ones listed so far. I am going to try and participate. I could use more cookie making.
OK, sounds like "spring" should be the April theme. I'll start a thread now and post a link in this thread.... the guidelines (I'll just keep the same ones as before, unless anyone objects) will be in the first post of the thread. Add your pictures for the theme in that thread.
The first person to post a picture to that thread gets to choose the theme for next month (just pm me your choice and I'll start the threads with the new themes within the first couple of days of each month.
