I don't know but I kinda like Duncan Hines spice cake mix...Already flavored and tastes good.
Here's the basic buttermilk spice cake recipe from "The cake mix doctor":
1 package (18.25oz) plain spice cake mix
1 cup buttermilk
1/3cup sweetened applesauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil, such as canola, corn safflower, soybean, or sunflower
3 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
There's several more spice cake recipes in this book if you want to pick it up, and hundreds of recipes all based from cake mix (I myself can't wait to try them all!).
The recipe ChoueiriCakeCo posted sounds yummy to me. If you can't find a spice cake mix I'd look up spice cake recipes and add those spices to a white cake mix.
i was going to post this same question, i too am looking for one that is like the WASC, one that does not crumble when cut, i can not stand that. So if you have a tried and try recipe please share it. Traditionally does cream cheese icing go with this or caramel?
