Many of you have contacted me about the tornado that came through our city (High Point NC) on Sunday night. My business was completely destroyed. I was so blessed not to have been in the building. I would not have survived.

Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. They mean a lot.

I am hoping to relocate and reopen by May, even if not fully operational.
My heart aches. Twelve years of my life work is gone. But, although down, I am not out. I know God has a greater blessing in store.

I will doing progress updates on the website and on Facebook.

Teresa

Sorry to hear about your business icon_cry.gif But as long as you are okay and nobody else was hurt, everything will be fine in time.

Good Luck!

That is stunning! Thank heaven you were not injured. Sounds like you have a wonderful, understanding attitude but that must be a terrible setback. Best wishes on creating your new, and even better shop. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, tornadoes seemed make-believe, until a close friend moved to Kansas and was killed by one. Stay safe.

oh thank god you weren't there! I remember being in a tornado when I was about 5 .... my dad was pelted in the back with bricks from the chimney. Surprised it didnt' break his back. I think the phrase "It's not NICE to fool Mother Nature!" was coined after a tornado went thru an area.

Hugs and prayers to you!

Definitely happy that you weren't hurt, and very happy that you have a positive outlook. Now you can make all those changes you've thought about over the last 12 years. Sort of like starting new, but with a client base! icon_biggrin.gif

Let us know if you have wedding orders that need to be done. I can loan a kitchen. I know it's a bit of a drive, but it's better than canceling on a bride.

hey, during this same storm, we (SC) had 4 tornadoes. There was one less than 5 miles from my house, we were lucky that it died off before hitting us. If it had we would not have made it, as our house is very old and just made of wood, which is falling apart.

Soo sorry for your lose.. but keep up the high spirits in this tough time! Good luck on getting you business back up and running.. hopefully sooner than later! icon_smile.gif

You guys are so great!! Thanks so much. If we get in a new location and at least get the kitchen up and running I'll be okay. I've refunded orders that were prepaid for April. My wedding cake orders are at the end of May. I'm praying to have a space before then. Went to look at a great space in Greensboro today. My realtor is doing the negotiating for me because my head is fried.

I cry every time I have to go back to the property. It really is heartbreaking. Not getting any help from the property management or owner on getting a path cleared so we could get in and salvage something. As my husband said, it's no advantage to him because the property is a total loss. I was told today that he has no plans to do anything on property until MONDAY. So that'll pretty much finish everything. Rain is expected this weekend, but the roof will undoubtedly collapse before then and we won't be allowed back onto the property. It's hard to believe that people could be that selfish and thoughtless. But he'll reap what he's sown. I guess God truly wants me to start anew because that's what I'll have to do.

Please continue to keep me in your thoughts. This is so hard and I really do feel the love!!

Thank God you weren't in your shop when this happened. I have been thru several tornados living in Arkansas but thank God I've never lost more than a few big trees and a garage. Hope all goes well with you and your "new" shop in May.

I am soooo sorry to hear that this has happened to you! Praise God that you were not in the building when the tornado hit. I pray that this can all be turned to the good and maybe you will be able to set up shop even better than before. I bet your loyal customers will be patient and look for you.
