icon_sad.gif So sorry to hear about your recent loss. It's like your baby......... Know that ALL decorators are behind you, and if need by, will stand by you when you rebuild. As we all know you will. Your talents are too important to be on the sidelines.

I sincerely hope your bakery is back up and running as quickly as possible. A fire is so devastating but atleast no one was hurt. I love watching you and your sister at work. You give me inspiration and hope as I too want to own a family run bakery one day. My thoughts are with your whole team during this time.

Sincerely,

Cristie Carter

This is indeed a terrible loss, and it truly is a blessing that no one was injured. Hopefully, once the emotions calm down a little, and the million and one details are attended to, this can be considered a new beginning to another chapter, rather than an end.

My thoughts and prayers are with y'all, Cakegirls!

The tangential loss is devastating, but the fire can't touch their talent and dedication. Looking forward to see them rise above this. There is much support for them to grab a hold of.

Mary & Brenda

You're in our prayers

Mary 2years ago , my husband and I, met you at your shop and we talked for a few hours about how we can move forward in our business back here In MI. You were so HUMBLE and so sweet. We really appreciated your time, advice and wisdom.

I know that God is in cotrol and this is the season that you will emerge! God will take your mess and make it a message, take you from obscurity to oppurtunity and that very thing that seems to have you surrounded, God will cause you to emerge to Victory from it!

God will cause you to operate in a Winning Faith that lets Jesus out of the Box and your Victory will be suddenly....compared to a Jack in the Box toy. You know you'll come out of the trial but you dont know when...But God says its Going to be quickly.

Just simply believe and trust God...dont try to figure out how He wil do it just know He will cause you to emerge this year.

The best is yet to come for you. The world has yet to see Cakegirls at their highest peak!

Be Blessed Girls

drat -- can't blame Ms. O'Leary's cow this time.

hmmmm perhaps a hungry mouse or cat or dog?

any way....

Look around you.

Can you tell there was the GREAT CHICAGO FIRE?!?!?!?

well of course not!

Yes, you had a mini-Chicago fire

But take inspiration from those who survived that fire and (cue music and sing along!) dust yourself off, pick yourself up and start all over again.

the darkness of the storm is past and there awaits a new and more glorious CakeGirls (Emporium? Palace?)

the STUFF can be replaced.

Most importantly YOU are still here with your talent and a future that promises even more glorious creations.

Now, call upon that great Midwestern fortitude and forge ahead with your dream (hmmm....could this be an opportunity to move to the Miracle Mile -- talk about going UPSCALE! ----oooo ooooo move right next to Geno's East so I can kill my diet two times over with one visit!)

Gott bei dir!

I have watched them on challenges on food network many times and their work is amazing as they well know. My thoughts go to you ladies as I hope things will get better for you. I am a small timer now with the dreams of opening up a bakery in a small town somewhere but I never think of the devistating things that could happen. It's unimaginable to me and I am truly sorry you are going through it. Hang in there ladies!

Stand in faith Manher Sisters...
Even when you feel like giving up
Stand in faith
Because He is there ... saying, "Just look up"
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel so all alone
Stand in faith
Hold on and be strong, for He is still on the throne
Stand in faith
Even when its hard to believe
Stand in Faith
Knowing that He can change your situation, suddenly
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel its hard to pray
Stand in faith
And believe that He has already made the way
Faith ... is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
So stand in faith

I am really grieved for you both, and know that many of us wish you a quick recovery and gain so much more, over the upcoming healing time.

Just a note though, to CC: I find it a little saddening, to see a picture of these two lovely ladies, at their worst, on the front page. Please don't get me wrong, I know we are all just trying to support and love these ladies during this hard time, but it reminds me of the sensationalism on the news... they focus on the heart wrenching pain. Just my thoughts. I am heavy hearted with the grief the ladies must be enduring.

God bless.

Saw this on the news as well and was so, SO sorry to hear it! I had a fire scare at my new bakery that I've bled, sweated and cried for, earlier this year, and I've lost a home to fire, so I totally know the loss this caused.

There will be a silver lining somewhere, "things" can be replaced, and thankfully no one was hurt.

Here's to a speedy return to up and running. Anything I could do to help, of course, I would...as anyone here would as well.

Dear Mary and Brenda,
As I read the news report of your loss, I can only say I felt the unbelieveable, gut-wrenching feeling that you both must have been experiencing. I have had a cake shop for 3 years now, have been doing cakes for 25 years, and can not even begin to imagine what you are both going through. HOWEVER, you are both strong women I have watched your work on the TV channels and you WILL recover from this. I believe people will rally around you and your customers will be in contact with you once they realize what has happened and that their records have been possibly destroyed in the fire. PLEASE know that you both have been an inspiration to me and that you are in my prayers. My youngest daugther is now my partner in my business and we both know the challenges, set-backs and TRIUMPHS that go along with this crazy business.
Sincerely,
Victoria Moore

So sorry for your loss... You both are still alive with the dream still being alive as well.. It will take some time and things will be back and even better...
I just went through a huge tragedy myself being in a major car accident and being able to walk away with minor injuries and i honestly should be dead after the looks of my car.

Good things will be coming your way.. icon_smile.gif

Sending you thoughts and prayers..
