My regular Insurance Co just quoted me $54 per month for insurance...OUCH!!! I was expecting around $25, who do you use?

I am renting a Grange, using it as a commisary...Not sure if this is what is raising the rates?

Good question. I want to start a business some day and I am in the "looking into" process.

Did you call an insurance COMPANY direct? Or did you call an AGENT? It's best to call an agent, especially an independent agent who represents multiple companies. An agent knows the laws of your state, the requirements, and has relationships with the insurance companies that you can never hope to achieve on your own.

There's a reason the state requires them to be licensed to handle the intricate details of this contract law product.

Based on the multiple posts on this subject, around $500 a year is the norm for $1M liability policy.

Mine is thru State Farm and it's $250 a year. It's a $1 mil policy with 2 claims per year covered. That's sometimes thought of as a $2 mil policy, but you need to read the fine print.

Don't forget those figures most likely are only for the liability coverage - which means no coverage for your "stuff" and I have got "stuff" icon_biggrin.gif
