I'm looking to find out if anyone has every decorated a cheesecake before and if so how and with what? I can sculpt it the way she wants, just not sure where to go from there. Any ideas?

Thanks ,

Michelle

I once did a wedding cake in 8 layers of cheesecake and I iced them in Rich's Bettercreme. You can make roses and leaves with it and color it as you desire, just be sure to use the gel colors. Best of all it can stay at room temp without the "icing" getting too soft. I found it was best to ice the cheesecakes after taking them from the freezer as it made the Bettercreme easier to get the way I wanted it to look. Hope this helps you! thumbs_up.gif

Evelyn,

Thanks for the tip. How long did you freeze the cheesecake for? did you wait until it was room temp before icing it or just straight from the freezer?
Thanks again.

I didn't know that you could do that either, it sounds really cool. When I used to decorate cheesecakes for birthdays and dinner parties we would use chocolate to draw on them, or make the chocolate designs on parchment paper, let them harden in the freezer, peel them off the paper and then add them to the cake.
