Cute cake! I have been wanting to do one of these but haven't gotten the chance yet. Yours is very cute!
So very pretty-can you give the instructions? Did you use the t-shirt pan?
You mean to tell me there is a t-shirt pan?!!! I used a 9x13 (I think) and cut it. All I had to cut was the neck and under the arms to make the sleeves. I am so frustrated that I can't figure out how to make flowers. I have GOT to take the Wilton Classes.
The t-shirt pan is a retired pan but boy is it worth it! I have used it several times to make a christening gown, (made the tshirt cake and put a square cakes at the bottom to make the gown longer)-alot easier than cutting out cake but you did a wonderful job!
Great job! I love the color. The first cake I ever made when I was 17 was this same one, only it had a bonnet and booties to go with it. I volunteered to do the cake for a family baby shower but I had never done anything like that before so I bought a cake decorating book. I love this cake. I have made several of them since.
The way I make mine is that I make an 11X15 cake. Cut out the piece for the neck of the sweater which becomes the bonnet. Then I cut triangles out of the sides and cut pieces from the triangles to form the booties. I tend to use ribbons for ties and usually drop flowers for buttons or whatnot. It varies depending on what I feel like doing. Anyway, your cake is very pretty!
If I was going to charge for this cake say by the slice how do i figure out how big a slice should be? I have never charged for a cake before.

Well, usually a cake that uses 1 mix or a character pan cake such is considered to have 12-15 slices.
Depending on where you live, that is usualy $25-$35 or most folks charge about $5 at least, more than they would at Walmart for the same size of cake.
