I am making a 2 layer cream cheese pound cake, but will need to torte and fill each layer to get the height I need. So there will be 3 layers of filling. I wanted to try 2 diff. types of filling....what would be a good combo for a cream cheese pound cake?? Or should I just stick w/one?

any suggestions??

Thanks,
Christine

What about "strawberries & cream" - strawberries mixed with some bc - on one and a lemon curd for the other....my MIL makes cream cheese pound cake all the time (therefore I eat it all the time!!) and I think both of those flavors would mesh well with the pound cake....HTH! icon_smile.gif

cream cheese flavored with vanilla or white choc pudding (powder not actual pudding) is great too! I mess around with things like that but dont have any specific recipe or amounts...I just do to my taste and liking at the time!

raspberry & lemon is a winning combination with cream-cheese. actually, lemon curd and a sugary-poppy-seed filling would be decadent and my idea of heaven, but raspberry is more refreshing. you could use lemon curd and seedless raspberry jam on their own, or folded into whipped cream or buttercream for a richer texture.
