What do you all use to make your dummy cakes.
I've heard of using the cake pan.. but how do you do that?

I bought 2-6" and 2-10" dummy cakes(styrofoam) for my final cake in course 3. I bought them from the cake decorating store last week.

I made my dummy cake using styrofoam circles (glued together). They are very cheap at any craft store or even walmart!

I then covered it with white contact paper. and this works great for me!

hope this helps.

take care

I just covered the dummies in buttercream. They aren't expensive at all. The 6" was 1.49, the 10" was 2.50.
I'm going to try the white contact paper.
