I am looking to see what I can find out about this.. I am wanting to make it my specialty .. What I do know about is.. that they are stacked , no more the 3 layers, the price run on more the $600.

I think for my area and they way the ecomony is ..it would be a Great biz move of my new Biz ..

I seen them call Mini ..but I think there choice of title is off.. They are a Reg cake size .. But they are no more the 3 tiers .. Like the ones Duff does a lot of the time.. Does that help ??

No, it really doesn't. I'm also not understanding what you're referring to. Do you have pics? What are you calling a "regular" cake? What are the dimensions of the cakes you're referring to? How many servings is a person getting for $600?

$600 for cake that serves 300 or $600 for cake that serves 25 .... big difference.

Sorry everyone.. I just got a small bit of info on the Idea .. But this pic is like what they call a Mini wedding cake... The cakes can range anywhere $200 - $600

The pic looks like a 6/8/10/12, which serves 12/24/38/56 = 130. That's not what I call a "mini" wedding cake. It's pretty much average.

Fondant covered, at $4.50/serving = $585. Pretty average.

I have no idea what they are talking about. A mini cake is exactly that, mini. Like 3-4-5, maybe 6, but that would be pushing it and they average $20 a piece. What thye are describing soundsl like a regular wedding cake. Personally, the add sounds like a hussle. Mini cakes are never cheap and are very much a specialty item, hence why they cost.

I've seen similar such internet "ads" in the past few months. It's in my ever so never humble opinion that they are rip offs. The photos they are showing are not what I would call "mini" wedding cakes.

A "mini" cake is either (a) a single serving mini cake that stands about 3" tall ... one is served to each guest; or something (b) what is actually a "centerpiece" cake, incorrectly called a "mini" cake .... a 1 or 2 tier cake, just big enough to serve about 12 people that is used as the centerpiece of the guest table.

Both of these are very time consuming, very PITA, and very expensive.

My guess would be if you bought this info they are trying to pawn off , uh, er, I mean sell you, that their main point would be for you to offer a smaller weddign cake and then sheet cakes on the side, while at the same time marketing to the bridal community as "Buy Smaller! Save Money!" .... until they get there and find that sheets + smaller tiered cake is nto cheaper at all. Just a guess .... could be totally off.

If you were my daughter who was asking her mama's advice on this, I'd tell her to put her money in something safe ... like a tin can buried in the back yard.

I also have a wedding cake coming up where they ordered a 5" and 7" stacked cake, and even though it's very small......I don't even consider that a mini.

a mini wedding cake to me is something that is single serve.......like each person gets their own individual cake. Even a centerpiece cake that serves 10 to me is just a "small cake" not a mini cake. I guess everyone has their own idea.

Hey, if I could get $600 for a cake like this..........I"M IN!!! I charged $20 for this and the lady about had a heart attack!!
