Hello CC community,

I have been asked to bake a '3' and a '0' shape cakes for a 30th birthday party but I have no idea how many portions each cake will give. Ideally 60 people will need a slice of cake. If you know the answer to my dilemma please put me out of my misery.

It would help if you gave the sizes of the tins, and whether or not this is a layer cake, as well as the dimensions of the cake serving.

I would bake a half-sheet (12"x18") cake, two layers w/ filling (so 4" tall) and trim the 3 and 0 out of that. Hint: cut so that the two numbers are attached. You should have more than enough to serve 60 people 1"x2"x4" servings with some left over (a 2 layer half-sheet serves 100, so with the parts trimmed off, you should have about 80 servings left).

the tins are standard numeral tins from Invicta and are approx 225mm in height. I will be baking a victoria sponge. Thank you for your help x
