I've told a few people (hubby, sis, etc) and they don't seem as excited as I was, but I know that you guys on here will think this was a GREAT find too!!!

I get a phone call from my dad, who likes to browse second hand stores for deals. He tells me they have some baking stuff. I usually tell him "no thanks" since I can't check the items out myself, but this time he tells me that the items were sealed and in their wilton packages.

WILTON? Ok, now he had my attention.

He went on to descibe the things and the price.

My very quick answer- "GET THEM!!!!!"

I told him which ones to definitely get and that I was on my way to check the rest of the goods out.

For $20 (total) I got the wilton petal pan set (sealed) and the set of 4 oval pans (also sealed)

Later on when I went I got 2 round pans (14 and 16 inches) for $10. Brand spankin' new! thumbs_up.gif

I was so excited, but not many shared my enthusiasm. icon_rolleyes.gif

Well he deserves more than just one hug, because now that I think of it, he paid for the first 2 sets. So, in reality it all cost me $10!!!

Maybe I should bake him a cake! icon_lol.gif

christy, thats AWESOME, but only "us" cake addicts know the rush we feel...lol, I got alot on ebay real cheap, yard sales, resale, etc...I have two 6 Tier metal shelf full of pans!!!!

Then a woman at work saw me with a cake one day...said she wanted to talk to me, she use to make cakes for her kids for fun...she had over 20 pans, squares, rounds, hearts...gave them to me FREE! I tried to give her a check for spending money but wouldnt take it, said make me a cake one day....
CONGRATS!!!

I think it was a once in a long time oppurtunity.

I told him to keep an eye out for more pans and cookies cutters.

This one thrift store gets a lot of the character shaped pans, but I dont really use those. They are only $1.95.

My dad has brought me a few "classics". He got me a hippie bus one from 1978. Its pretty cool.
