I have a really good almond and a good vanilla cake recipe that are easy to sculpt but I'm looking for something...anything... different that will hold up to being cut to make sculpted cakes. My chocolate cake is a bit too light and I just tried a pink lemonade cake...same problem. I really don't think either will hold up to my sawing chunks off to make my 3D sculptures.

Having said that...I'm going to try the chocolate one anyway and layer it in with the almond. I'm doing a mannequin bust sculpture for Sunday...I'd best get started!!!

i'd love to hear what you guys use. I need to expand my recipe bank! icon_smile.gif

I'm pretty sure I tried it before and it didn't work out for me. I'll give it another go and see if I have better luck.

thanks
