Cupcake bouquet disaster!! - Page 3

Thank you for the pictures-I need visuals, so that is a big help! It looks like on the 19 CC one, that there are toothpicks. Do the toothpicks go through the plastic cup and into the styro ball? Then the cupcake is poked into the toothpick? Thanks!!

for the full 19 cupcake bouquets there is NO bucket. they're made in the taller 5 oz. cups an then the cups are secured to a 10" or 12" cake circle and then I put tissue paper on the cake board and glue it up the sides of the cups to hide them. You would need a huge bucket since the bouquet of 19 bouquets is about 10" across!

KHalstead, I love it. Thank you so much for sharing this technique; your bouquets are beautiful. I have some questions for you.

What diameter was the opening for the 7 cup and the mini bouquets; how many cc were used in the mini bouquet (right now I can't recall if the amount for the mini's was mentioned, if so sorry)? TIA!

the 7 cupcake bouquet was made in a flower pot that was 6" in diameter (measurement across the cent of the opening from side to side), the pots for the minis was about 8" across and there were 30 in there. HTH

KHalstead: how did you get the toothpicks through the little cups? did you make a hole before putting in the toothpick? Thank you so much for posting pictures, i cant wait to try it!!
me too, How did you secure the toothpics? You would think they would slide thru the bottom from the weight of cc? Thank you so much for sharing your info!!!

KHalstead cup method is the best. I made two bouquets this weekend and they turned out great. I can't wait to make more. (now I just have to remember to wipe the buttercream from my hands before I handle the pots. lol )

Mickeebabe - those look great! I just bought my pots and am getting ready to try mine. Hope to post a pic in the next couple of days! If you have any other advice, I'd be happy to hear! (Good to know about the sticky fingers icon_lol.gif )
