We just got back from the state fair ~ Justin took first in his decorated chocolate chip cookie class from 20 entries! He also took first with his molded chocolates (he made chocolate and white chocolate swirled sea shells)!
I took first with each of my three cake entries with the bridal shower cake being put in a special display with a big purple ribbon on it that says "special award". I'm not quite sure what that means but i'm happy! We were both so excited when we got there and saw them!

Thank you everyone! We were excited! You'd have thought we had won the lottery - running around from cake to cookie to cake and saying "We won that one too!" We met my father and step mom at the fair - my dad just stood there and shook his head.
I took pictures with the ribbons on them but the cakes aren't holding up too well. They only slightly resemble what they were in the first pictures. I used a disposable camera to take the pictures because it was raining when we left the house so I didn't want to take my good camera. I'll post pictures as soon as I get the pictures developed.

Thank you! He is entering the decorated cupcake class and devils food cupcakes from scratch tomorrow. After school and soccer tonite we're going to have to find time for homework and decorating a cupcake! It has to be delivered tomorrow evening after work and school!
