I believe if you add the whole egg instead of separating the whites this would work, hope this helpsicon_smile.gif

Adding whole eggs to a white cake mix does not make it "yellow". The taste of a white cake and a yellow cake are different (to me anyway). I use whole eggs in the white box cake and it stays fairly white.

What about adding some extra vanilla and then tossing in an extra egg and a box of vanilla pudding mix?

Don't know specifically if it will work or not but yellow cake to me seems more vanilly than white.

If all else fails--toss in a drop of yellow food coloring! lol!

I would add 1 box vanilla pudding and a touch of yellow colouring as well. (you can see it in the mix)

Gingoodies, I guess the chicken I get my eggs from must be different than yours, because when I accidently got the yolk in my white cake mix it made it turn yellow. For a true white I separate the egg and only use the whiteicon_smile.gif

Iris, I do the same as you when it comes to scratch cakes. If you look at recipes for white and yellow cakes, the main difference (maybe only?) is that one takes whites while the other is the whole egg.

But when I use a white cake mix, I use the whole egg. It will tint it a little but like some suggested, maybe just add a drop or so of food coloring. Or some pudding.

Good luck!
