I am doing a wedding in May and they have requested 360 mini cupcakes decorated with buttercream. They also want little "C's" for their last name on each cupcake. What would be the best time-saving way to do this? That's alot of C's!!
You would definately save time by cutting them out of fondant now and storing them until the wedding. It wouldn't take long to apply them later.
You could use a chocolate mold, or simply use chocolate and write out "C"s on wax paper.
Also, I don't know if this would save time, but you could make sugar cookies, cut out a C and then place the cookie round ontop of the cupcake.

That's what I was going to suggest. I made 48 hearts for the valentine cupcakes in my photos, and it literally took a few minutes.
How do you do this?
I'm not sure if you were asking me, but I'll answer anyway! I found a heart clip-art that I liked online and printed as many as I could on one page, but allowing about 1" space around each one. I then taped that onto a cookie sheet with a piece of wax paper on top of it. I melted white chocolate (you could also use colored Candy Melts) in the microwave, poured it into a piping bag with a #3 tip, then traced each of the hearts. It was so quick and easy! Just let them set up to dry. You could do this as far ahead as you wanted to.
In your case, you could choose whatever font and size letter C you wanted and do the same. Also, I think you said you needed 360 of them. So, if you don't have enough cookie sheets to accommodate that many, you could just tape the pattern/wax paper to your kitchen counter. The chocolate doesn't take too long to set up, so they wouldn't have to be on your counter all day or anything. When they're dry, pop them all into an airtight container for storage. HTH!
Or you can use modeling chocolate and a cutter in the letter style you want. They dry hard enough to stand up and taste wonderful!
I agree with the chocolate method. I made 48 script "L"s in about 3 minutes. I would suggest, though, using a parchment cone and making the smallest hole possible. The #3 tip is too runny for me, I felt like I didn't have a lot of control over the flow of the chocolate. The parchment was just right. Different strokes, and all that. Good luck!
Thank's guys, for all the great suggestions! I think I may try melting the chocolate and writing the C's. Sounds the easiest! What a help ya'll are!!
