First Time Modelling Figures....need Some Opinions.

This is for my nieces wedding, it has already been postponed so I have a little bit more time to make new. This is my first time trying to make figurines so please be gentle!! I find I need to tell myself to slow down with this stuff, guess I am scared it is going to solidify too quick. I need to slow and really enjoy the process more. I do find this so much fun that I just get lost in it...I really did enjoy making these. Each time I correct something I find something more I want to!
Wish I could photograph it better...she looks kind of "dumpy" or something but in person doesn't quite look like that.
Anyway...please be gentle but I would love your thoughts on these pieces and what I could do to make them better.....thanks.
Oh...I have to thank..."BeCuzImAGirl" for the dragon inspiration. ((thank you))
Forgot to say that I still need to add some things to the bride. I have a bouquet and there are still some things to add to her dress.
Niece only sent a few photos and said "We want a dragon and me holding/touching his head" so this is what I came up with.
That dragon is amazing!! I have only tried to do animals. I find people hard to do because I can't get the facial expression to look normal. I would love to see the cake when your all finished!!
Your dragon is fantastic! I love the gold highlights. Your bride is amazing for a first attempt. I haven't tried to do people yet but am anxious to. I think once you get the other elements you talked about on the bride she'll be great. The only thing I would think you may want to tweak is the line where the dress meets the skin. It seems a little depressed at that spot making the shoulders appear out of proportion with the chest. It could just be the angle of the shot though. I would also try to give the dress a nice shimmer with some luster dust (of course you probably have that planned already). You have every right to be proud of your figures. You did an excellent job!!
Oh my goodness...that dragon is fabulous!! The bride is cute too...but the dragon is amazing!!!!
Your bride looks pretty good to me..... BUT since you are seeking advice on how to fix her...I think maybe you should check out Lorraine's website, she sells videos on alot of character building....She does GREAT WORK and shows alot of details....
I cannot help with How to Fix Her, b/c I have never made a person......HTH
Excellent job!!! The dragon's expression is perfect!!! With this as a first attempt, you have a great future in sculpting figures!!
Oh my gosh, that dragon is amazing! For some reason I can't see the other photos of the bride.
it could just be the camera angle but to me the bride's shoulders and head are a little too big for the rest of her body and the arms could maybe be a little thinner/longer. It's still very good though! Your dragon is absolutely amazing!!! Would you care to give a tutorial on how you did it when you have more time?
