I Need To Know What Cake Pans To Use To Make A 3-Tiered Cake

I am making a 3-tiered cake for the first time. The cake is for 125 people and I wanted to use 12 inch, 10 inch, and 8 inch pans to make the cake but I can not figure out how many slices of cake each pan will make. Can someone help me?
Check out this chart - it should help.

I get 118 total from using those sizes. Here is the Wilton chart for wedding cake serving amounts!

whoops... think we posted at the same time!
I think you might be cutting it a little close with those pans. I'm assuming they are round?
Here's another chart that I find helpful.

Good luck!
it really depends on what size servings you want to serve...
1"x2"
1.5"x2"
2"x2"
2"x3"
I go by Wilton's party servings for party cakes and wedding servings for wedding cakes. I find earlene's chart MUCH too generous on the portion sizes.
A serving is 8 cubic inches of cake - so how wide it is depends on how tall it is, whether it is a wedding or not doesn't matter. If they want to cut their slices larger and you are charging for this cake, they need to buy more servings - but if it's free you just need to figure how big and go for it!
Kerri, can you help me w/ Earlene's chart? Maybe I'm not using it right? I thought it showed 12" round= 45, 10"=30, and 8"=15, for a total of 90? Maybe I am misreading the columns. TIA.
