I've heard the term, "cricut" around and I had no idea what it was. So, a scrapbooking machine works for cakes? I'm brand new to the world of cakes, just started my own business from home on what I know and have learned on my own. Would you be able to e-mail me some of those cricut files you've been talking about just so I can see how it works? I do everything from hand, no cutters unless they're basic shapes, not even for letters. This would be amazing if I could cut the time in a quarter. Thanks so much!!! My e-mail is [email protected], thanks so much!!

Thought I'd let ya'll know I just cut some wheels for my Jeep Tires using 100% MMF no tylose or gumpaste.
I rolled the MMf on a 2 and then froze it on the cutting mat until it was hard (about 20 mins) , while it was freezing I set up my Cricut to cut so when I took it out of the freezer I could cut immediatly.
The cut was clean, no jagged edges, the MMF did sweat and even cutting on high speed it was soaking wet when it was done. But still cut fine. I let it dry for about 5mins then removed the excess and was left with perfect wheels (rims) for my Jeep.
So whoo hoo, my whole purpose of buying the Cricut was to be able to cut MMF and not Gumpaste, so I'm glad I accomplished that!

I am working of inkscspe to figure out how to operate. Thanks for all the info on cricut. Could I please have files e-mailed to me: [email protected]. Thanks for all the info, this has really helped me out alot. This saves me the $ on the dvd that a cake artist came out with for cricut. CCrs are the BEST for help.

I also am dying to get my hands on the damask so I don't have to pay the money for the stencils I have a cake due in July. They say you can make stencils but I have yet to figure it out. It took my daughter and I a few hours last night to figure out we needed an update to get the cricut hooked up to the printer. FINALLY got it going now I can play today. I also would LOVE to have Wedding things, Showers and Birthdays and Graduation items. Thanks for any help and all help that's been given. [email protected]

Ok those of you that know how to make the svg's........I need a cake for this weekend the two peas in the pod. She want's one pea in each pod for sisters. One is having a boy and one a girl. How would I do that? If I can't get it by Tues will someone be so kind as to send me one somehow? Thanks for any help.
I found my problem was I had to download the cricut design studio to update my cricut to work with my computer. I am determined to get this to work for me I'm itching to do some GORGEOUS cakes!!!!

She was wrong I just hooked mine up that I've had for 3 years. I found I had to go to the cricut site and download the latest updates and it worked fine.

Do a google search for coupon code for sure cuts a lot before making the purchase. It can usually save you about 20% off the price. Yay for saved pennies!

Funny, I'm needing the peace sign also. I need TIME to figure this all out. The question I'm having is the only thing we need the inscape for is to MAKE the svg's? Thanks

I have just received an email from a site from which I was going to order the Cake Cricut. They told me that their customers said you can not get the machine clean enough to use for paper once gumpaste/fondant has been run through it, therefore they didn't suggest using the same machine. HAVE ANY OF YOU EXPERIENCED THIS? Has anyone actually used it for paper AFTER having used it for gumpaster/fondant, or are they just trying to sell two machines. I really appreciate any response. Thank You

This is only the Solutions cartridges. They are smaller cartridges (smaller in that their content is smaller)

My Michael's was completely out of them by Sunday afternoon and was not giving rain checks.

Judy,
If you look at my blog it shows how paper cuts in the cricut cake. We tried the paper after all of the other tests.
