So, I feel dumb asking this question....

but, the Food network is coming to do a story on our shop, and the one thing I know from talking to friends whose restaurant was on $40 a day is that you get a HUGE onslaught of requests for stuff to be shipped.

In anticipation of said event, I have been working on a way to ship cupcakes. I don't really care if it is crazy expensive, just that the cupcakes arrive looking beautiful. Does anybody have any good ideas or have you shipped cupcakes sucessfully and had them really beautifully and profesionally packed ?

Yrs ago Country Kitchen had a plastic insert that fit into a sheet cake box for shipping ccs. Don't know if it's still available or what the cost would be but you might check it out.

No, I am not. But, in truth, I'd like that even more. I am SOOOOOOOO competitive. Bring it on Yankee-boy!

But, I still need to get some cupcake packaging. Maybe I should just order a dozen from Sprinkles or Sweet Street and take a look at theirs.

oh wow that is awsome !!!

maybe you can try making a cupcake box yourself, like you know how you hold the cuppies in place with toothpicks for a CC bouquet. then you can mail it to your home or something to to test it out. You can maybe try something like that . I dont know Im talking out of my head.

Those look much nicer than the holder from BRP that we use in the shop, but how do the cuppies stay in place if the box get tilted ? That's my conundrum.

when I think of shipping cupcakes, I think of something like those cup holders you get takeaway drinks in, either tight enough they don't move, or with small spikes in the lid, like those big cake boxes you can get. Just a thought.
