I am working on my cake for the fair and had a little disaster (he is two and as cute as he can be, but I want to lock him in his room). He broke my gumpaste mask that will go on my Mardi Gras cake. I have molded another, but I need it to dry fast. Any tips? Besides duct taping the kid to his bed...Yes, people I am joking. Don't call CPS.

This is all I found on drying it faster....
Good Luck to you icon_smile.gif

To dry, you can place the formed Gum paste piece on waxed paper and turn it carefully once a day to ensure even drying. But, don't put Gum paste in an low temperature oven to dry! While placing pieces near a heat source, such as an oven light, may hasten drying, the oven itself will not work. You can also place pieces in front of a fan, especially if it is humid outside. To speed drying, you can lay it on pieces of Styrofoam which allows air to circulate on both sides. (Sprinkle your foam square with cornstarch and work it in with your fingers. Then, lay the shape on the foam).

How about a straight jacket, that way it won't leave any marks icon_wink.gif , LOL!!!

Maybe try placing it in the oven with the pilot light on if you have gas or just the light if you have electric. That might make it dry a little faster.
