Hello, I'm new to this website and holy addiction batman! its really addicting.. first thing i have to check once i hop online!! okay any way that doesnt matter but is surely truth spoken!

I am currently building a cupcake line and I just got an order to do 250 cupcakes for graduation. The thing is I ONLY do jumbo cupcakes nothing smaller than that.

I need pricing so bad! Not sure how to price these... individually or by bulk or what?! The businesses in the city are not even worth to buy from they use cake mixes and I do everything from scratch. If anyone could help me with pricing that would be fantastic!!!

THANKS!

Amysue.

definitely price individually! If you want to give a bulk discount, you only give it because you can buy your ingredients for the order in bulk which means it's cheaper for YOU to make, so in turn you make it cheaper for THEM to buy from you.

If you're not getting a reduced price on your ingredients (buying 50 lb. bag of flour vs. 5 lb. bag) then don't give a bulk discount, otherwise you'll just be losing money!

explain to your customers that you offer jumbo muffin sized cupcakes and something I find helpful is to tell the customer (it's 5-6 bites, etc.) so they know how big is BIG since their are SO many different sizes of cupcakes/muffins available today. Also let them know, everything is made custom to order and I don't use any mixes, it's all from scratch. Most people are willing to pay more for something that seems more "gourmet" to them!

That way they'll understand why they cost more.
