For the people who still don't require payment for cakes in advance...We had a speaker at my last bridal association meeting who was talking about contract law. One of the topics he touched on was payment schedules, and he said that something he had heard once was good advice. Remember that it's better to not do the work and not get paid than it is to do the work and not get paid.

If I knew how to do an appplausing smiley I would!

It boggles my mind that people accept payment at delivery, like it's pizza someone thought would be fun to order.
