Yes it said Request Timed Out... I though it was my computer at very first, but didn't think it was especially after I restored it. I don't know what to do. I suppose I'll have to order from another site though I don't really know any so I'll have to find some. any suggestions on other sites that are good to order from?
thanks

If I try to get on using my IP address I can't access GSA. If I sign in using my computer and access a neighbour's wireless internet from my house it works. It must have something to do with my IP address being blocked by GSA. I also have the same problem with Make Your Own Molds. When I want to get onto either site I `borrow`a neighbour`s`wireless internet.

Alrighty... Well, this is frustrating. I've called them and she wasn't very helpful, said she didn't know what to do and there was no else I could speak to that might be able to help. I've called my internet providers and no help from them. I've tried adding it to allowed sites list, made sure it wasn't blocked anywhere, I've completely restored my computer, I always clear out cookies and all of that, and I have no idea why it still, after 5 months is coming up to connection has timed out.

Does anyone at all know what it could be? I've tried everything posted here and just cannot get the site to show up.

icon_sad.gif Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have also tried everything that has been suggested but it still doesn't work with my internet. I am lucky I can "borrow " the neighbours unsecured network from time to time to view the few sites that I can never access.

I can assure all of you that GSA has never and will never block IP addresses. If you can access our site using the web access from a neighboring wireless signal, the problem clearly is with your internet access provider. I would pursue it with them. Good luck to you both-I wish there was more I could do. Alan

JaneDee, if you can identify the error message, try 'googling' remedies specific to it.

Here is one site with multiple error messages and possible solutions..

Just out of curiosity, JaneDee, are you typing it in or clicking on a link? Try clicking on the link in AlanT's post....

if you get an error message, what does it state?

Here's another possible solutions page that includes issues involving firefox (something as simple as clicking 'tools' on the upper(?) toolbar and unchecking work offline can be done)

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites

I'm seriously learning something new here! (not that I'll remember it tomorrow though icon_sad.gif )

All4cake: When I click AlanTs link it goes to 404 Not Found, when I type it in myself it goes to Problem loading page, connection has timed out.

Nothing new has worked so far, but my daughter just knocked over my can of paint on the carpet so I shall return later and keep trying other things after I am done going ripping my hair out. icon_sad.gif

Most of what comes up seems to be issues with the latest(whenever that was...some of the posts are from 2007...sooooo....))firefox upgrade

http://www.knowledgesutra.com/forums/topic/50645-problem-with-firefox-latest-version-not-loading-pages/page__st__10

if possible, can you uninstall firefox and install something else to see if firefox is the actual reason for the issue? (don't forget to restart your system before giving it another try...)

I have tried using internet explorer also. Tried I.E. before and after I restored the computer. It doesn't work either.
What gets me the most is it's been like this for months and I even completely restored my computer back in February.
You'd think if it was any setting on my end or my computer, that when I restored it to original it would have knocked off/reset that setting or whatever but it didn't so I'm leaning more toward this issue being something that I cannot control through my computer or settings.
I don't know anymore. I do know that I wish they had a catalog. icon_rolleyes.gif

Diane, do you get the same messages OP gets? Do you also have firefox? Did you try any/all of the solutions in the links provided?

I use IE but I have also tried Frefox. My usual message is Uable to connect.
I have tried everything. Good thing I can "borrow" the neighbours unsecured internet to access the sites.

I called horrible COMCAST gosh I hate them.
The first lady was a total b*tch. Wow what a surprise. She kept telling me it was my computer and basically acting like because I don't have five million different browsers loaded onto my computer that I'm like lame or something. She kept getting an attitude "You mean you only use Firefox, you don't even have a backup???" ugh. So just to please her i tried it in the other browser I have. I'm not going to download a bunch of different browsers when I know it's not going to work... anyway,I hung up on her and called right back because she knew it was coming anyway, the next lady wouldn't help much more than the last, of course, but she did send in a ticket for them to check it out. But they kept telling me there wasn't anything they could do to "update" anything or whatever.

So I still cannot access and I'm getting so sad. icon_sad.gif I was looking forward to ordering and as sad as it is I don't have any other computer to use because my mothers crashed and I don't feel safe putting my card info and what not into a public computer. Which actually isn't even an option for me. So one last cry for help, does anyone have any idea how to fix this or what is going on??

Seeeeeeeee...all this time, I thought firefox was a firewall (or included a firewall along with its' installation) which would block the action regardless of the browser used...upon installation, it becomes your default firewall unless specified otherwise.

No Firefox and it doesn't work at my house. My brother in law lives next door, he uses the same provider and it works on my computer using his internet.
