Hello,
I know this is the wrong forum but didn't look like many users were on the other one.

Is it just my computer or are others having issues getting to their website?

The past few days I've tried to go to their website it just goes to a problem loading page message. I have not been able to access the website at all.

If anyone could help me out that'd be great, I was really looking forward to ordering some new 'toys' icon_smile.gif

And again, sorry that this is the wrong forum!!!

Hmm, I'm not sure why it's not letting me get onto the site. I don't see why McAfee would be blocking it, I don't even really set the block high enough to block a site like that.

Well Thank you much though! At least I know it's on my end most likely now. icon_smile.gif

If anyone else does happen to know how to fix this or what's going on please let me know, as I still cannot figure out why it's going to "Problem loading page". icon_smile.gif Thanks!

Sorry - no idea how to fix your problem (and not being able to access such a wonderful site is a problem LOL). I am having no difficulties with that site at all, so keep trying!

I updated the flash player and also cleared everything out. It is still not working. Well, I've been meaning to restore my computer anyway just because it's getting a little slow, so I guess I should go ahead and do that finally, maybe my DH messed up a setting or something in firefox which wouldn't be suprising lol. Thank you guys for trying to help me out. icon_smile.gif

I tried setting the security differently and adding the website to all the allowed lists I could find in options on Firefox and on McAfee... Still no luck, I was really hoping I could fix it since I forgot how much stuff I need go through and save before I restore the computer but I suppose I'll stop procrastinating and do it.

Sorry I can't help you out with your problem. I'm not having any problem getting on GSA, but am having the same exact problem getting to CC's home page. To get on here, I've had to go through my favorites to one of the "tutorials" I have bookmarked & then go to forums from there. Even while in the forums, I can't access the home page; my browser takes me to that problem loading page. Hope someone can give you an idea to fix your problem & it might work for me too.

Still not working for me. icon_sad.gif I will be going over to my mothers house today so I'll just get on their website from there. This is strange though, I don't see why it wouldn't be working for me.

GlobalSugarArt.com is alive and well. However, our website was moved to a new server recently and this may affect some customers for a few days. Bookmarks may not work, you will have to type in the name www.globalsugarart.com and re-bookmark the site when it opens. Please be patient, you should be able to view the website soon. If not, contact your ISP (service Provider) and give them our web address. They should be able to assist you in viewing the site. Alan

That's weird, I couldn't get on Cake Central website for the last several days! I thought maybe it "folded" thank goodness it didn't. I just tried a different internet service. I was using internet explorer, I switched to foxzilla and it worked! Try a different internet site to get on Global Sugar. Hope it works.

With CC, every few days I have to delete the cookie, or I can't get into the forum pages (I get a message saying it's down for maintenance). Some part of the coding of the cookie is wrong and needs to be fixed, but until/unless they do fix it, just try deleting it if you run into the same problem.

If that still doesn't help, try clearing the history.

I haven't had the problem getting into GSA, but maybe try the same steps and see if it helps.

And, since GSA just moved to a new server, it could be that your internet provider has not updated their name server (this server converts the name you type in to the number ISP address that the website is actually located on) since the update. Contact your internet provider and ask them to make the update.

I tried EVERYTHING, I completely restored my computer back to original fresh new system or whatever, I keep clearing everything out, I've tried using different links to get to it. Nothing works!
I called horrible COMCAST gosh I hate them.
The first lady was a total b*tch. Wow what a surprise. She kept telling me it was my computer and basically acting like because I don't have five million different browsers loaded onto my computer that I'm like lame or something. She kept getting an attitude "You mean you only use Firefox, you don't even have a backup???" ugh. So just to please her i tried it in the other browser I have. I'm not going to download a bunch of different browsers when I know it's not going to work... anyway,
I hung up on her and called right back because she knew it was coming anyway, the next lady wouldn't help much more than the last, of course, but she did send in a ticket for them to check it out. But they kept telling me there wasn't anything they could do to "update" anything or whatever.

So I still cannot access GSA and I'm getting so sad. icon_sad.gif I was looking forward to ordering and as sad as it is I don't have any other computer to use because my mothers crashed and I don't feel safe putting my card info and what not into a public computer. Which actually isn't even an option for me. So one last cry for help, does anyone have any idea how to fix this or what is going on??

Are you getting a "page not found" error?"

Try leaving off the "www" when you type in the address. Also, for some reason, I have better luck when I use www.gloabalsugararts.com (with an added 's' at the end). Takes you to the same place, but I get less loading errors.

Techno-husband to the rescue. He was able to find the numerical IP address. Type this in your address bar:

Weird that that would help. Gsa has bought both addresses, but if you enter the one with the s, it reroutes you to the one without. Try it and watch your address bar.

Yeah, I noticed that both addresses end up at the same site, but I sometimes get the "page not found" error when I use the singular address. Maybe I'm just more careful when I type it the second time! icon_biggrin.gif

I hope you do not have Comcast. Comcast is changing out from McAfee to Norton. There have been a lot of problems with this. I now have a virus on my internet explorer that keeps blocking me from going into the internet or block sites. It keeps saying my system is unprotected. As a matter of fact it will click you into to some security protection site and states you have to pay. Comcast offers free security and spyware service. I think I did better when I had my own downloaded in the system. In order to get into the internet I had to change to Mozilla Firefox thanks to my wonderful Brother-In-Law. Then I could download the new Norton services. I hope you are not seeing on your internet Anti Vir, like mine. I was told I would have to take my PC to the Geek Squad to have the virus removed. That is a cost of $200.00 I don't have right now. HTH

Oh yes. I have Comcast. Only because I cannot chose Verizon over them. They are equally frustrating and I hate them both. I think the only reason I go with Comcast is because when I call in for help I don't get some person that can't speak English and I can understand them. Besides when they just have the biggest smart *ss attitude and I can't understand them.

Ugh my day has been so friggin frustrating over so many other things, I lost so much important info because when I restored my computer the other day my Toshiba external thing didn't save the stuff I put onto it for something reason and I lost half of it. GRRR. all I want to do right now is access GSA site and get some new stuff to attempt to be a little happier. gah. sorry just venting I guess. icon_cry.gif

When you have your computer restored, you will lose your info. The Geek Squad told me not to do anything, let them do it. They will take all your info and downloaded it to a disc, clean out your computer of viruses and restore it then restore all your info, thus the $200.00 fee. Until then, if you can try to download the internet service of mozilla Firefox, it is fast, it has an anti spyware along with the Norton that comes with comcast. In talking with Nortorn they have non-English speaking customer service reps as well. If you can't understand them, you can request they transfer you to an English speaking rep and they have to provide this, this will mean their job will be transferred back here to the States in most cases, so they will kill themselves speak better English to you! So Sorry for your inconvenience!
I have been struggling too. Much better now until I can get to the Geek Squad.

Okay, here's something to try.

Click on your start button, go to run and type CMD. This shoudl take you to a command prompt.

type ping www.globalsugarart.com
after pressing enter, see what it says. If it is saying "Time out" or something like that, I seriously doubt it's your computer.
