I ordered some chocopan fondant from sugar craft and it arrived rock hard. It's cold, I live in wisconsin I am geussing it froze somewhere along the line. I've tried heating it up but no go. On the other hand it smelled good but I had to go to JoAnns and pay way to much for terrible tasting wilton junk that only comes in that multi color pack so I had to buy 4 for just a 6in oval. Lucky for me its a small amount I need its for a Nascar cake for the Daytona 500 race on Sunday. Does choco pan get old faster? grrr, I make mmf all the time but I need black fondant not gray, I don't know which would taste worse, wilton junk or too much black paste color. I going with the wilton, its for our party so no angry client. I just have to apologize to my friends and family.

How did you try heating it up? Ten seconds per pound in the microwave on high? I live in Washington State and we are having a really, really mild winter and the one I got was hard, too, but the microwaving loosened it up enough to start working it (and working it, and working it.)
