Thanks for the link. The cake recipe is for a pound cake. Is that diffferent from his "sponge" cake? I would think so, right?

I would have no idea, you would have to ask Buddy.

Yes, it's different from his sponge cake.

What drove me nuts was when he spent the entire episode at Disney pronouncing it "Dis-uh-nee."

My husband begged me to stop watching when he started saying Disney like that!

Maybe it's his New Jersy accent, I can't think of any other excuse.

Buddy isn't the only one who calls it fond-"aunt" - I believe that is the correct pronunciation - the accent is on the "aunt" . However, the rest of his vocabulary is true New Jersey (lol).
I guess it's the old - you say tomoto and I say tomato icon_smile.gif - we all know what he means.

lol I get those same looks from my DH when I'm on here sometimes. They're probably wondering what could possibly be so funny on a cake site! icon_lol.gif

As for the "Dis-uh-ney", that is purely Buddy. I live in NJ and I cannot think of one person who pronounces Disney that way!

I don't live in New Jersey. But I visit my sister often and they do speak like that. I can't believe none of you who live around there haven't heard it. Before my kids go there they brush up on their accent. I'll call it Italian/Jersey accent.

I just looked at his pound cake recipe and was surprised to find out it was the same pound cake recipe that I already use! Ha!!

I am going to try that buttercream recipe though. I notice it used whole eggs and not just the whites. Wonder how he gets it so white?

I tried the buttercream recipe and it turned out horrible and clumpy and smelled like raw eggs, It doesnt have any kind of flavor to it. Am I missing something?

I think that his buttercreme recipe is a misprint. I'd be willing to bet that he uses just the egg whites and not whole eggs.
