I have to make an individual serving of cake shaped like a tea cup and saucer. How can I do this?

How about baking one in a cup and covering with fondant like a mini-half ball pan, do the colour, stiffened gumpaste handle, coloured fondant on the top like coffee, a couple of steam swirls, put on either a well stiffened gumpaste saucer, could dry over a real saucer, maybe that would work if stiff and thick enough? glue on and there ya go? Maybe do something like those cupcakes that have the hole in the middle where you scoop a little bit out in the middle and put in filling? Would that screw with the structural integrity too much? I just thought a little bit might give oomph without having to fill at all, might be more stable. But even just covered with ganache under the fond, or bc, would give a good ratio of filling/icing to cake if it was cup sized. Never done it of course, just what I would do if I did

Not quite on topic, I was looking for tutorials and couldn't find anything but I found this, such a realistic cup and saucer, thought I'd post it's just so fab. Enjoy.
How about making cupcakes for the cup. You could wrap them in fondant, add a handle and maybe paint with gel colors, then make the saucer out of 50/50 fondant/gumpaste.
You can bake them in the Wilton mini wondermold pan. They're the perfect shape. If you look at my photos you can see the ones I did. I dried gumpaste on a real saucer. I molded it on the bottom of the saucer to get the imprint where the cup sits. I put the rim around the top above the cake and filled with buttercream. Everyone just used a spoon and scooped the cake out of the fondant cup (I used Wilton fondant so no one ate it LOL). This was my first time trying tea cups. Next time I would try to make nicer handles and do a bit more decorating.
