I was wondering if someone can help me out here, I know this topic has been discussed about cupcakes falling after they have been pulled from the oven.
Well this had never happend to meand quite franklyit bothers me lol !!
I guess there is alwyas a first, but I just got my KA and I think maybe I over mixed my batter. I thought I hadnt I added eggs, water, oil a a dash of Lorrannes flavor oil and orange zest mixed that for maybe 5 seconds in the 1st setting, then I added the flower (boxed cake) and mixed it in in #2 speed. for less than a min I stopped to scrape and mixed for another 30 seconds or so. And well I baked at 400 and lowered it to 325 after 5 min.
I have no idea what happen I did 3 batches and they all came out like that. I even made another box ans still they flatten out
Do you ladies/Gentlemen think I over mixed ? Or does someone have any other suggestion?
Not sure why they fell but the times you say don't sound that excessive, if anything maybe a little short on time. I haven't ever done the 4oo to 350 thing, not sure if that could have had something to do with it. Have you done it that way before so the new KA was the only thing new you did? Did they test done with a pick before you took them out fo the oven? Could it be your oven temp? In 4-H years ago we learned if you over mixed you got tunnels in your baked goods, so that can happen if overmixing. No answers, sorry, but maybe some other leads? Good luck, I am sure it is very frustrating! Denette
