Hi,
I need to make SMBC and none of the grocery stores have unsalted butter. Will it come out okay with salted butter?

Thanks! usaribbon.gif

No, it will taste like straight butter.

I made it once with mostly salted butter as I only had 1/2 c unsalted left. I found it to be overly salty tasting and overly buttery tasting. My coworker thought it was FABULOUS though b/c she LOVES salt! So you can do it, I don't think that it tastes great though.

icon_lol.gif LOL! Too funny! I guess if someone likes to eat butter and salt, that would be ideal. You can use salted butter to make it, it is going to taste like biting into a stick of vanilla flavored butter.
