Wow, air bubbles the size of texas in my mmfondant. My molded chocolate pieces wouldn't harden. Misbehaving buttercream AND hair the size of Alaska! Thank goodness fall is just right around the corner, not sure if I can handle anymore of this.

It's the heat the gets me. I think next year I will have to invest in a refriderated truck. Everything melts here! icon_cry.gif

I know what you mean!! Only problem is that it seems to be getting hotter?? Isn't it supposed to start getting cooler?!!? Oh well, at least we didn't have the 100+ degree days all summer long.
The good news I've got a huge bicep just from sifting all the powdered sugar 500 times!

I live in hawaii, and the humidity is never ending!!! We moved here from Washington last year. Everything I use to use to make my cakes doesn't work here. I can't make royal icing flowers, because the icing never hardens, ever. So I tried to make fondant flowers instead. I made individual petal, really thin and waited for them to dry. Well, it's been 2 weeks and they are still flexible. It took almost a week for them to even dry enough to peel off the formers and even now they're so flexible that I don't know if I "glued" them together, if they'd hold there shape. I guess if I ever want my own cake business, I'll have to move back to Washington. icon_smile.gif
