Fondant Figures Go Flat??

Any tips or ideas would be very helpful.

So here is my problem, every time I make any fondant figure it flattens out or dose not hold its shape very well. icon_cry.gif

Anyone with any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much icon_smile.gif

Add some tylose, gum trag or cmc to stiffen it up.

Try mixing in a bit of Tylose powder.

I add about 1/2 tsp Tylose to about a 3 - 4" size ball of fondant, kneed it in well you'll begin to feel the fondant become more elasticy (not a word lol).

It will help your fondant figures dry quicker/harder.

Also if you place the figures on a piece of sponge it will not flatten as much as it dries.

If you don't have Tylose you can mix 50/50 fondant/gumpaste together for the same result.
