What is the easiest way to make trees. I am new to decorating. I will be camping in a popup and have to do my baking in the oven before going. I see where sugar cones are used. Is this the easiest and how do you get the icing to stick to the cone?
Thanks

Here's the youtube video that I used for the xmas trees in my cake photos. I only had round ended scissors but it still worked. I couldn't believe how easy it was when I tried it. The photo isn't great but you can still make it out.

I made mine with stiff royal icing on pretzel sticks. Not the really thin or thick ones, they were sort of medium sized. I just piped the royal icing directly onto the pretzel (I think it was a star tip.) I set a cooling rack over a box, put waxed paper over the rack, poked a hole in the paper, then put the tree in to dry.
