Did you guys see that there's going to be a new show on FoodTV in October all about cakes and desserts!
Warren Brown from the bakery CakeLove is going to be getting his own show, and his cakes look soooo delicious. Some of you may have seen him on an episode of Recipe for Success.

Thanks for the news flash! I love FoodNetwork. Paula Deen is one of my favorites. Her "Not Yo Mamma's Banana PUdding" is soooo good. It is expensive to make but worth every penny.

...and Alton Brown is awesome. In addition to how, he provides the why and you can get so much more mileage from that.

I LOVE that recipe, too. It's a family favorite around here! I never really considered it "expensive" to make, though. I guess I love it so much that I never really looked at the cost of the ingredients (that and I always buy Chessman cookies on sale BOGO.)

rbbarker, I love Alton too! He's a hoot and I really enjoy the science behind the cooking. My husband used to think he was weirdo until he actually sat down and watched an entire episode on steaks/meat, completely hooked after that. *rollseyes* Reeled him in with the science aspect of the show.

LOL bikegal, It's so funny when you mentioned what your husband thought of him because my husband said the same thing. One day he brought home a recipe (which is weird in itself) from work that someone gave him to give to me. I was so shocked I shot him a icon_confused.gif and he said, "I don't know what it is, so and so got if from Food Network from that weirdo you watch all the time". LOL

I LOVE the way he gets into everything so you know why something does what it does!
