How do I tie ribbon around my cupcake wrapper and it stick?!

I've tried tying ribbon around a cupcake wrapper (saw it somewhere and thought it was so cute)...well the ribbon just slid down & off the wrapper!

Am I supposed to glue it?!

you can glue it. I personally use a hot glue gun when working with ribbon. it is so much easier to manipulate the glue by hand (when needed) so that the ribbon appears to magically stay in place... and glue sticks are non-toxic.

just a suggestion ..plus glue guns are so much fun to play with !!! icon_biggrin.gif

Glue dots?! Never heard of 'em! Are they available at Michael's?!

I'm working on a cupcake order & want them to look as nice as possible. They are ordering them as their "tasting" & may go with me for their wedding cake. Well, I know they are going to taste good, lol

I've also seen cupcakes that were tied by cutting holes with a hole punch around the paper, then threading the ribbon through the holes. You'd do this on a 2nd "outside" cupcake liner - not the one the cupcake was baked in. It makes a really nice presentation. Sure wish I could find a picture to show you. icon_redface.gif
