Khalstead modified NFSC! Very close to Soft Sugar Cookie V, but they liked the firmness of this one.
I used 3 1/2 cup sugar, but will cut that back to 3 when icing. I only used 5 1/2 cups flour, probably should have used 6, had a bit of spreading.
I will have to play with cutting, as I like to use my Dobord, but as she suggests, it would work better to cut a sheet, chill, then rearrange and cook. Just need more props! (A couple of dowels)
So I have cooked up the whole batch of SSC V to take to a church dinner. Making polar bears for the hostess (she collects) with ModNFSC. Now I have the whole rest of that batch- time to work on Valentines!
