make animal print with fondant leopard or other.

I have a 50th Birthday cake request. to have the body of the cake a animal print. What is the best way to do this with fondant. Leopard or Zebra print. with hello kitty deco packs.

Hey and welcome to CC. First of all I just uploaded a picture of a cake I just finished yesterday that is both giraffe and zebra print.

Basically once your cake is covered, you just roll out your stripe color and randomly cut different shaped stripes. If you look at a photo of a design on here that you like, you can copy the stripe idea for size and shape.
It's fairly easy especially if you have like a pizza cutter to cut your stripes out.
Theres alot of different ways on here in the photos.

Hi there, here is a great video on doing zebra stripes.

And here is closeup of the leopard print.

Cover the cake in the background colour on the photo. Then mix some black paste colour with vodka and do the black shapes. Then with a darker brown paste, colour the middle, again mixed with vodka. Hope it make sence. icon_smile.gif

Or if you want it flat, you could paint them on. I did a leopard print ribbon and painted the spots - turned out great!

Or you could use some RI and stencils. That's what I did for my pink/zebra cake. You can see it here...
