How Do I Achieve This Colour For My Fondant?
Decorating By SassyStacey Updated 7 Feb 2010 , 8:18am by SassyStacey
i was going to suggest to add close to nothing of green to white fondant and a small teeny bit of yellow.
But Im not a pro nor experienced.
Good luck though and let us know what method u use
I see Wilton have a few green gels. I already have Leaf green, but they also have Moss green and Juniper green. Has anyone used these colours as I would like to see what they look like on a cake.
I am the Queen of Juniper Green!!!

And, this is NOT my most favorite cake but I was practicing. Example of leaf green:

I was gonna say, I just bought some Juniper Green tonight to make some pears. I'll be using it next week. I don't know how quickly you need this answered but I'd be happy to take pics for you!
Thanks for the pics! That is a great Xmas cake ladybug!
That gives me a better idea of what colour I will get. I am making a polka baby shower cake with green, brown and ivory as the colour scheme. Would love to see photos of the pears when you are done. The cake isnt needed until 6th Feb, so I have a bit of time.
With the Wilton colors, you'll probably want to use Lemon Yellow and Leaf Green or Kelly Green.
Tint the icing a pale yellow shade-- a pastel yellow. Then add the Leaf Green or Kelly Green until you are close to reaching the depth of color you want.
At that point, if you want to tweak it to more of a chartreuse color, you can add more of the yellow. Otherwise, continue deepening it with the green.
Hope that helps!

Oops... forgot to add: when I want a shade like that, I often find myself using more yellow than green.

Thanks Stacey for the kind comments on my Christmas cake. You have to be sure to share your baby shower cake once completed!!
Best wishes!
