Cake With Stairs Theme...?

Can anyone help me out with ideas for a cake with a "stairs" theme? It's SUPER last minute - it's for Monday. And it's for a little boy who loves to climb the stairs - the mom thinks it'll be cute & funny. (Oh I am just so tired, I don't see the cuteness & funniness of it at all right now.)
Any ideas would be appreciated! I'm searching right now for ideas!

You could do a cake that looks like stairs with a railing (Cover pasta with royal) and put little toys all over the stairs, the blanket, stuffed animals and maybe model the child out of modeling clay.
