I am doing a wedding cake with the faux fondant look. However, The bottom of each layer has a fondant bow. So, I will use the MMF for that part. My question is how do you handle the extra long pieces of fondant. I have to make a strip to go around the bottom of an 8", 12", and a 16". I thought maybe try rolling it around a 2 liter bottle. Any advice?

you should just be able to roll it up like a piece of carpet or a sleeping bag. NOT AS TIGHT OF COURSE. But thats what I do. OR use a small pill size bottle. something like that. Depending on how wide the ribbon is. Dont use a tool bigger than needed it will get in the way.
