Hello all,

Does anyone know how to make frosting the color of a Tiffany box? I have seen so many cakes and cupcakes online but no gives out how many drops of blue and yellow food coloring. I found one site but it looks a little more teal so I am coming to you guys for help.

I made cupcakes and white chocolate shaped bows for my niece 17th birthday and now I just need to get the frosting color white.

Thanks!! Annie

Wilton's Teal give a pretty good facsimile. Just use it by itself(you may need to use a lot), good luck!

I made some cuppies a few weeks ago and I used a combo of cornflower blue and royal blue. Tiffany Blue wasn't the color intended...I was just experimenting with the colors but its the color I got.

I was told here on CC to use 5 drops of teal and one drop of sky blue and it worked great. The color looks off in my pic but it looked the same as the tiffany box I had. Ofcourse it will be lighter of darker depending on how much buttercream, fondant etc you make. I used that 5/1 on fondant and on royal icing to cover some cracks and it came out great!

I've done a lot of experimenting to get this color. I've tried different brands (Americolor, Wilton, etc.) but I find that I have the best luck when using Kosto's royal blue and leaf green. I like to do 2 parts royal blue and 1 part leaf green. When I say "parts" I mean I stick a toothpick into the container and just get a small portion on the end of the toothpick. Works out perfectly EVERY time for me

Recently made a cake and used wilton cornflower blue. The person I made the cake for also received a Tiffany necklace as a gift and said that the colour of the cake and box were exactly the same and thought that I had planned it to match (complete coincidence)

I use a combination of Wilton Teal and Americolor Sky Blue (Wilton's would work too if you don't have Americolor). I'm sorry I don't know the exact amounts I use, but start out with a drop or two of each and add more if needed. Here's an example of the color:

I do cookies with royal icing, not cakes, but I think the colors would be the same.  I used a little Americolor Blue and a smidge of Leaf Green.  I did a small amount so my ratio was one drop of blue to one toothpick tip of green.  I was pleased with the color;   I think part of the trick is to use very little color so it stays in the pastel range and doesn't end up being turquoise.
