Where to get a tiered cupcake stand?

Thread Starter
I have a couple weddings coming up where the clients want a tiered cupcake design - 150 to 200 cupcakes. Can anybody suggest where to get a good cupcake tier? Has anybody used a cardboard tiered stand (like cupcaketree. com)? I would appreciate any advice I could get.

Thanks!

Honestly, you can make your own and it will be cheaper and you can detail it to match the design(s) of your cupcakes. Here is one I made recently and I get to reuse it...so it's especially cheaper if you plan on reusing it.

How about making your own? Here's a tutorial from Antonia74. Once you have them you can use them forever.

I made my own earlier this year after seeing a Youtube video on how to make a stand out of MDF, a threaded metal rod and some PVC. I love having my own stands now and if needed, I can rent them out to friends of mine who also do cakes.

I bought mine from www.thecupcaketower.com and I LOVE it. It's fully customizable for whatever size you need so you can use it forever. It's heavy wood also and I just didnt like the idea of taking a cardboard stand to someone's wedding.

I just bought one on etsy.com from thecupcaketower.com. It is made from MDF so you can use it over and over and change the ribbon

My FIL made me the one from the link provided above ...instructions by Antonia74. He used scrap wood he already had in his shop. It took him less than 2 hours and my Dh painted it!

If you're going to go into business selling cupcakes and plan to rent it out, I love the stands at www.bossmanufacturing.com

If you want to make your own square one, my tutorial is in my signature (below) and here's another one I found online that I adore!

I love mine from The Cupcake Tower.  Also, like was previously stated you can easily change out the color of the ribbon to use again and again.  The original purchase was not cheap but, if you think you will reuse it then money well spent.
