need a nice creamy tan color for a dog cake... my browns have dried up and look gross...any suggestions without running to the store... using BC that was made with butter so has a yellowish tint already... thanks
brown vanilla rather than clear vanilla will give you a light tan - maybe strong coffee (or kahlua) added to it if coffee flavoring works with the cake flavor? That's all I can think of other than trying to reconstitute your food colour with a bit of water or corn syrup or something...good luck
Do you have any glycerin that you could add to the gel color?
I use buttercup yellow and a touch of brown to get a creamy tan (kind of like the coach purse in my photos)
You don't need too much brown so if you can just scrape a little out and mix it with glycerin or water it would probably be enough.
Great advice. I also needed to know how to create a "TAN" color for a cake purse I'm making. Thanks Everyone
