Hello, can anyone tell me how to create make-up out of gumpaste? I google it, but didn't find anything on how-to-make it. I have a request for a cake with high heel shoe and make-up. I found a website on the shoe, But nothing on the make-up.
thank you!!

Hi there! If you are not confident in your ability to simply hand craft the pieces of makeup, (there are some fabulous cakes in the galleries with tubes of lipstick, etc.) you can use chocolate molds with gumpaste and start from there. Some chocolate molds have a variety of makeup pieces on them. Another way is to make your own molds from silicone. Probably the best way, though it to use a real piece of makeup as your model and make it yourself. Paint with powdered or gel colors, add a little bling and you are good to go!

edited to add that you don't have to use straight up gumpaste, you can use a mixture of 50/50 gumpaste to fondant. I use Wilton's premade gumpaste for my projects.

Hi, I made a cake for my niece who loves makeiup and modeling. I did the same as scrummymummy. I used 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant. I also used dried royal icing (colored) to make the powder eye shadow and blush. Sorry I haven't been able to upload pics in months, so I can't show u my cake icon_sad.gif hope this helped.
