It seems to me this problem arises after every contest. I too would like to see the winner, isn't that the point of a contest? 
Would it be an idea to leave the contest link at the top of the homepage for a few days after the voting is over and show the winner there? 
Tabs are located at the top of this page and begin with home, recipes, forums, etc. Click on the far right tab "contests." Click on the 2009 Holiday Cake Contest. Scroll down to see winners.
Thaniks so much. I will forget thisw by the time the next one comes along, oh and leter came today announcing winners as well. I had no idea about these tabs though
