"Most Saved Photos Today" and "Most Recent Ph

I like the "Most Saved Photos Today" and the "Most Recent Photos" features on the main page, but I find actually using them frustrating.

As you try to look through them, you are only shown 3 more at a time by click on the arrows, and if you click on a photo and then click back to the front page, it starts over with the first 5 photos and to move on to the ones you haven't viewed, you have to again scroll through every photo you've already seen.

I would like to ask that the titles "Most Saved Photos Today" and "Most Recent Photos" would be made into links to dedicated pages with all the photos that fall into that category on a single page, so that as I click to one and click back, I can just continue from where I left off.

Thanks for your consideration.

If you click on galleries, on the top of the page you will find the option to click on the last uploaded pictures. This will give you full pages of the most recent pics for you to go through. Have fun!

That does give the dedicated page to most recent photos, but the link on the galleries page to most saved photos is most saved photos of all time, not most saved photos today (most saved of all time is something I was hoping for, too... so thanks for showing me that).

But... it is not intuitive. If you didn't know about that roundabout way to get there, you wouldn't be able to do it, and a direct link would still make it easier to access, so I still would like the words "Most Recent Photos" on the main page to link to the dedicated page you can reach on the galleries page, as well as having "Most Saved Photos Today" to link to a dedicated page for that.

I agree... it is frustrating to have to start over a the beginning everytime you want to view a picture. I don't really look that much anymore because of it.

You can see the most recently uploaded, but not the most saved of the day grouped together on the main gallery page. Honestly though, the recently uploaded is just a combination of the most recently uploaded and the most saved of the day is it not?

I don't know. All I do know is that the current system is not fun. Just to not have to rescroll through all the thumbnails after looking at a picture would be nice. icon_smile.gif

Right click on any pic you want to see, and choose open it no a new page or a new tab.

I do TRY to do that, but inevitably somewhere along the line I get caught up in it and hit the left click instead of the right click and end up all frustrated because I have to go scrolling through the pictures again.

And... that doesn't work on my iphone. Almost every time when I close the photo I opened and go back to the main page, the page reloads and I still have to scroll.

Besides... all of these suggestions are inconvenient workarounds. Changing those titles to links would NOT be a difficult thing, and would make things much more convenient to the site users. Adding the dedicated page to "Most Saved Photos Today" would take a bit more programming, but since there are already similar dedicated pages... Newest Uploads, Most Saved (of all time)... the site designer does know how to do it.

If it's intutitive and user friendly, then experienced members won't have to spend time answering newby questions that have been asked a million times already, and newbies like me won't get frustrated over not being able to figure the site out on their own and having to go asking questions about something that could just be obvious and easy.

I like looking through the most saved of the day as well. I would like to either see these in the page format, (like you can with most recent uploaded) or save your place when you click on one. (I hate clicking on a cake and then pressing back and having to start at the beginning again.) icon_smile.gif

I just get so tired of the same set of pictures sitting out in the Most Saved for hours and hours at a time...

That being said, I work around the other issues by scrolling and right-clicking to open the picture in a new tab. I try not to complain because I know Jackie and Heath work so hard to make this a user-friendly website, but I must say, I agree with Leisel's suggestion.

I always press shift when I click on them. That opens them in a new window.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't look at nearly as many cakes as I used to with the thumbnails. I wish we could go back that way you can scan so many more pics at a time and therefore look at more.

I'm a habitual "right click - new tab" person... that's even how I use google after I search something...just open a million and one tabs for each results so I never have to press back. My husband thinks I'm nuts. So, I actually like the scrolling "most saved today" thing because I don't have to click to another page and each day I just see brand new favorites in front of me.

That said, I too have gotten too zealous and clicked out of the main one and then have to start over, so I do see where that can be frustrating. Maybe there can still be the scrolling thumbnails but the heading can be a click through link as well for those who want to see the full page of thumbnails?

Exactly. When I'm using the laptop [Mac (so no right click button... I have to have 2 fingers on the scroll pad while clicking the button with my thumb), no mouse] it takes me forever to get through and open all the ones I'm interested in seeing a bigger picture of, both because it's harder to do, but also because I have to stop every 3 to 6 pictures to click on the right arrow. And it is particularly frustrating when I happen to click the button and my hand was tilted just a bit different so the scroll pad didn't register the second finger and just opens the picture in the same tab, so I then have to back up a page and it resets to the very beginning and I have to find my place again.

I really find the pages of thumbnails so much easier to navigate than the little scrollbar.

Oh, me too. A million tabs opened like that is my modus operandi. Drives my husband crazy, too

That's exactly what I was hoping for. I don't want to get rid of the scrollbar, just have another option available, especially for when I have to use my laptop (or even worse, my iphone, because there I'm limited to 8 tabs, which are often already in use, but even when I do try to open the picture in a new tab, when I close that tab and come back to the tab with the main page on it, it reloads and I have to start over again anyways).

Right click, new tab takes too long and shift clicking requires a second hand. I just middle click (press down my mouse wheel) to open a new window. I've become so used to that that I would probably not know how to browse anymore without it. Well, I could, but I certainly wouldn't want to.

Either way, I have no complaints about the front page.
