I'm looking for the absolute BEST butter cake for a wedding cake and for a baby shower cake. It can be scratch, doctored, WASC version, i don't care as long as it lives up to the title. Preferably moist and sturdy. Thanks.

Cream cheese pound cakes are pretty buttery...actually, any recipe with a ratio of 3 sticks of butter to 3 cups of flour should be nice and buttery.
