How Do You Marble Buttercream?

I was wondering if you can achieve a marbled look in buttercream like you in fondant? I want a black marbled effect.

I have never seen something like that. Would be interesting to find out if that is possible.

I haven't done it with a color as strong as black, but I have marbled lighter colors before. For the under part of the bottom tier on this one, I used white and started to mix in blue paste color. Barely mix it though. It will continue to combine a bit when you are applying it to the cake.
