What Buttercream Do Most Bakeries Use For Their Cakes?
Baking By swapnilgupta Updated 17 Dec 2009 , 1:14am by JanH
hi all,
i have been wondering what buttercream do most bakeries use for their cakes.....crusting or non-crusting ABC or IMBC/SMBC?
my husband loves the costco buttercream and i was wondering if someone could let me know the recipe for it?
Thanks inadvance
Swapnil
Costco uses a purchased buttercream frosting from Dawn Foods (at least mine did).
Sam's Club sells buckets of both frostings that they use in their bakery depts. but you have to ask for it. The whipped non-dairy frosting is Rich's Bettercreme, while the more traditional buttercream frosting (by DF) is But-R-Creme.
